All of our experiences this week with CfaN, have been significant. Both Rachel and I, tried to take in as much as possible. A key aim was to receive everything God had for us. Not taking any part of this adventure for granted. And we’ve been filled with hope and joy, at the whole experience.

The morning devotionals led by Daniel Kolenda and with the CfaN team, have always had great depth. Today Peter Van Den Berg led communion, which for us, was a wonderful way to finish. You can only be challenged and grow, by spending time with such a hungry and focused team of Christians. (1st , 2nd picture)

To finish the week off we travelled for the last time, to the Great Crusade in Kumasi, which has gone above and beyond its title this week. This 4 day Crusade has been much more than great. It’s been exceptional. We could never have imagined, what a mighty move of God it would be. I’ve never witnessed so many miracles and healings taking place, in such a short period of time. Truly astounding.

But the greatest miracle received, for many people of Kumasi, over the past 4 days, has been the miracle of salvation. It’s not been confirmed yet how many people exactly, have given their lives to Jesus. Over the past 4 days those who gave their lives to Jesus, we’re asked by Daniel to raise their hands. You could see 1000’s upon 1000’s had responded to the Full Gospel message. Praise The Lord.

Right at the end of the evening. I got to climb on a container to see the vastness of the crowd that came tonight. It really was a sight to behold. We will never forget our time here, and neither will thousands of people from Kumasi. A celebration of the power of Jesus.

While Modesta (Marlene as some of you know her) is almost done with what she is packing. As for me I am not there yet still trying to figure out with temps that will reach over 100 each day.
In 12 days begins the crusade in Douala Cameroon Africa and I would like to reflect today on this question. “Is there still a need for mass crusades in this fast developing technology era we are in?

In 12 days begins the crusade in Douala Cameroon Africa and I would like to reflect today on this question. “Is there still a need for mass crusades in this fast developing technology era we are in? We now have many means these days to communicate with people: TV, radio, internet, cell phones, smart phones, satellite radio, digital and cable TV, satellite TV, and the list can go on. All these means of communication can be leverage to proclaim the Gospel of Christ and many are doing just that. But, there is one key thing that all technology needs in order for it to function- Electricity, which is the source that can make the message of the Gospel flow through the wires of technology.

The following is an excerpt of a report that was produced by World Energy Outlook 2014 ( go to their website for full report www.worldenergyoutlook.org )

Access to electricity

Worldwide 1.3 billion people – a population equivalent to that of the entire Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) – continue to live without access to electricity. This is equivalent to 18% of the global population and 22% of those living in developing countries. Nearly 97% of those without access to electricity live in sub-Saharan Africa and developing Asia. The latest estimate for sub-Saharan Africa has been revised up by 22 million, illustrating how rapid population growth can continue to outpace the rate of electrification in many countries and conceal the progress that has been made. In developing Asia, the general trend shows an improving picture, but the pace varies. The largest populations without electricity are in India, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) and Indonesia.

This is what World Energy Outlook 2014 says about Cameroon Africa where CFAN will hold the crusade:

Population without electricity 10 million

National electrification rate 54%

Urban electrification rate 88%

Rural electrification rate 17%

Total population 23,130,708 report by CIA World Fact Book (www.cia.gov) July 2014

Almost half the population of Cameroon does not have access to electricity. Therefore, the question again, “Is there still a need for a preacher to go physically to proclaim this Gospel of Power and Liberation?”

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! Romans 10:14,15( KJV)

10 Days to go!! Cameroon Africa Mission. Have you ever heard this when comparing levels of heat in places, “Yes it’s high, but it is a dry heat” We have been observing the temp in Douala Cameroon for several weeks now. Every day the high is always over 100! I say, “dry or not” 100 plus is still 100 plus! But the hunger of the people is so, that they will come in the thousands to hear the Gospel of Christ. ‪#‎CFAN‬ ‪#‎EvanKolenda‬‪#‎EvanBonnke‬ ‪#‎CFANDoualaCrusade‬

On Jan.27 we will be on our way to Cameroon Africa to be in the city of Douala, for the Lord has made it possible for us to join one of the most powerful evangelistic ministries on the face of the planet. Christ For All Nations will be holding its first crusade of 2015 and we will be there with them, HALLELUJAH!! The crusade begins on Jan 29. What a way to start off the New Year!! As some of you may remember we won this mission trip with CFAN last year, but had to be pushed into 2015.

As we were standing in the hotel lobby, getting ready to leave Kumasi.
Peter Van Den Berg came down to check out. We started to talk with Peter,
and share our amazement, at being able to attend this great campaign. Peter then said something that made Rachel and I reflect. “What was the purpose of you being here?” “You need to consider this”.

What was the reason God had led us here? Certainly it was to restore us. We’d been invited by a few Kumasi church leaders, to come back to help disciple and teach. Which we both will pray about and hope to follow up. I also remember Reinhard Bonnke saying to the SOE students in London “Get your own platform”, after several of the students (including me) cheekily stood on the Kensington Temple stage, posing for pictures. But Reinhard and Peter are spot on.

We can be inspired by others and what they are doing, leadership is biblical. We both have much respect for Daniel Kolenda, and the whole CfaN team. But after a week has passed and we take some rest. What next? Well for us it has become clearer. We must GO and follow the example we’ve seen, with Holy Spirit leading everything we do. Evangelism is preaching the wonderful Gospel, and seeing King Jesus impact the world around us. One thing is for sure. We will never be the same again. Thank you Jesus. Thank you CfaN, we love you and will keep you in our prayers.
