<itunes:summary>Humans! We're back! Australia and New Zealand swallowed us whole, thrown back with a mouthful of James Boag's, Montieth's, a flat white and a side of avocado - seriously, does everything need a side of avocado? Shows were crushed, if riding a little high in the Celsius, but the lovely crowds at every session kept glueing us back together again. Although 'Melburn' lived up to its moniker with a 47 degree day that made us more than a little 'Hot For Teacher'… Big up to Fuzzy and Elastic for making the tour happen. Then, with the taste of pan-Australasian deliciousness still in our mouths (with a side of avo), we hit a mini tour of The Alps. It was cold. New shoes were purchased. Nice people were collected. Small dark spaces were filled with hip hop, drum'n'bass and standard grill blocking brashness. Big up to DJ Danz and Taking The Piste for looking after us. So… we thought it was about time to hit you with some heaters. Something to listen to while you both hibernate and plan the most awesome February of your entire lives - the month when you refocus, re-psych, plan your attempt at serious world domination and prepare for Spring as only continuous waxing on and off can. February will be epic. As is this podcast. It features bangers from Joey Bada$$, Kendrick Lamar, Shadow Child, The Upbeats, Heavyfeet and Danny Byrd Feat. Roni Size etc etc et al. Let us be the soundtrack to the best possible you. This year is going to be a big one for us. I'm starting a small dry cleaning/cake pop business in Neasden and Dom is changing his name to Lesley-Ann and will only speak to people if they first present him with a snow globe. Happy 2013! Hit us up with some lovely wares on Instagram at both @BradBaloo and @DomNextmen. Bo!</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>I (<a href="https://twitter.com/bradbaloo" target="_blank">@BradBaloo</a>) am hung over. Completely hung over. It's hard to write podcast blurbs when you're hung over. It has to be said that there is a certain amount of professional negligence that occurs under the guise of a 'hospitality rider', which is ostensibly your employer providing you with endless iced buckets of glorious boozy booze while you carry out your job. Oh black mother I suckle at your teat...

I like to do five things when I'm hung over, including the following:

1. Wrap myself in a superking size duvet & perfect my human burrito impression.

2. Declare my entire house a 'pants only party zone' - the only caveat to which is in desperate times this can become a 'full body grey cashmere track suit with a half pint of Hagen Daas as an extension of my own hand coupled with occasional stints of crouching in the corner weeping uncontrollably party zone'.

3. Listen to Radio 4 while obsessively perusing restaurant's/better human's food porn on Instagram (big up @djmofingaz, @sophindulgent & @movidamelbourne) for possible inclusions in my imaginary dream dinner that I will be sharing later with Tupac, Einstein & George Best.

4. Play non-stop XBox - which I tweet is me mastering Virtua Fighter 5/Sonic Generations listening to the Nas back catalogue but I'm really 3 Quest levels deep in Bejewelled 3 - damn you Butterflies! - with the original B3 soundtrack intact as intended.

5. See how much taurine the human body can ingest before bringing on the involuntary face twitches, hand crab rolls & non-stop one-way discussions about nazi alien 9/11 weather-related disaster conspiracies while watching a minimum of 4 hours of US government test footage of military robot dogs on YouTube (they can't be kicked over!).

I plan on doing all of the above today. Welcome to my pain cave, may I bludgeon you.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Hello humans. Thanks for the curry based lowdown. We've nabbed all the info and will work our way over land and sea one massaman at a time. Big respect. Currently in the house of The Nextmen, we (moved en masse by the cultural zeitgeist of the entire waking world right now, and a few very persistent 6 year olds) are learning about superheroes. A is for Ant-man. Ant-man could shrink to any size and wore a cybernetic helmet which helped him communicate with insects so he could order them to attack his foes, the Masters of Evil. He was tragically killed by an exploding Jack of Hearts. Take out all the connective tissue from those sentences and it reads like a list of breaks DJs circa 2006. Incidentally, Ant-man was an electronics technician and adventurer - add those to the role call, nuff said. This month's podcast features bioelectric blasts from Mo Fingaz (he loves Dubstep), Rudimental, Disclosure, Jessie Ware and Sleeping Giantz to name a few. Holler. Next month is B for Blastaar, mates with Wizard and the Spaceknights of Galador. Seriously... </itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Nextmen Podcast 16: Bringing the party to wherever you are. There's been some talk, ok only one FB gibbering but our ears are always wide open & we like to listen. We'd like to address the question involved in a more philosophical way. Why aren't our podcasts more like our mixed tapes, like the seemingly well liked Personal Golf Instructions or Children's Introduction To Jazz? To answer the question with a question, what is better, a pineapple or a banana? Both are sweet, equally weird & hilarious, can make you feel good, can be carried round with you in some sort of pocket or sling device & are delicious to rock. They're different things. We're happy that some folks think our mixtapes are classics & we will probably keep making them til we're deafer than Dixie (we get we're long overdue!), but the idea of the podcast was never a Nextmen mix, it was us selecting new, underrepresented & personally beloved tunes that could be heard in a full format, strung together purely by mood or feeling & the connection one track has to the next, irrespective of venue or timeslot or preferred party BPMs & without either track having to eat into each other or be blended for the sake of style. So not like our mixtapes, not like our DJ sets. No quick'n'themix tricks & skills on show - not even back announcing, just a tracklist you can read and a quick hi & bye so you know we still care that you're listening & we hope, a boss selection of tunes that can be appreciated as that. I guess we also figure, sometimes everyone needs an hour just for themselves & some tunes - on the train to work, in the car on commute, cooking Tuesday dinner, in the tub, downtime on the oil rig (Hi Jim!), having some solo booze time, whatever. These podcasts are meant to be like little gifts of time for you. And they're free, so snap. This month's starts with a roll of slow burners but ends up feeling like you're inside the sun. Pack a cold towel for the burning heat. Enjoy!</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>When it's grey as you leave the house in the morning & greyer on your return at night, you know what time of year it is! Something our mates over the pond call 'The Holidays' but for us Brits, trapped under a tupperware sky barely lit with crappy council Christmas lights, it's those few glorious festive months that come like a sister to summer. That magical time when it's ok to eat & drink big & listen to big tunes with your big crew getting your big swerve on, all in the face of illogical social norms like 'work', 'time' or 'weekdays'. Ah, Nov/Dec/Jan... It's a very, very, very wild lifestyle. When you call on the photocopier to 'hail the rewind' or tell Mr Fedex that the 'stakes is high' and to ' deal with the matter'. When champagne Thursday becomes the shining beacon of hope that pulls you on through from hump day Wednesday to another Jäger chasing warm whiskey weekender. But we wouldn't want the music to run dry, even if your booze cupboard does (especially with the impending doom of endless reduxed carols & chart toppers all making you want to stab your face with the nearest jingle bell). So here's a little Nextmen podcast episode to tide you over for the next few rounds (at least)…

Catch us as the Good Times NYE – 31st December 2011 @ Battersea Arts Centre, London.

<itunes:summary>People often underestimate one of the most fun parts of the whole ritual of going out – the post-work, pre-going out, tunes on, first cheeky drinks while you're getting ready at home warm-up session. Can I pull off this tee/slacks combo? Do I have a spare toothbrush to give the Air Force's a scrub up (or is it mouth first then bye bye brushy)? Are all the hedges trimmed and surfaces buffed? Am I smelling dancefloor ready? The Nextmen Podcast Number 12 honours this 'special time' with a mix that'll get you ready & set to go for one blazing reason - we've got a big, big Soundcrash show at Koko London on Saturday October 15th. We're performing with Dynamite MC, as well as DJ Vadim and his group The Electric, Trojan Soundsystem, Lazy Habits and Maylight - promises to be a scorcher! Tickets are already flying out the door so be quick like a fox. Plus it's a bit of a birthday bash for both the Nextmen boys so it will be one of those can't stop smiling sore head Sundays the day after for sure. For the sorry sods who can't make the trek to Londontown, consider this podcast featuring tunes from Duff Disco, Maya Jane Coles, Zed Bias, MJ Cole, Seiji, Joe Goddard and many other, our lil gift to you.

<itunes:summary>G’day mate! Chur chur bro! And Saya ingin makan pancake pisang silahkan to the Bali crew! Just after we’ve washed off the last of the Glastonbury funk, we’ll be hopping on Brad Baloo’s beloved A380 to hit some of our favourite spots - Bali, Auckland, Wellington, Queenstown, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney & Perth – booyah! Start grinding the coffee, poaching the eggs & get the Coopers & Monteiths on ice! Props to the Fuzzy massive and all our mates old and new. We’ve planned a very special set for this tour!(sorry in advance for the sore feet & swollen livers). <itunes:summary>Festival season approaches!! We're pumped about a summer spent in a field feeling slightly disorientated. About bleedin' time!

(**StreetFest is the first and only live art street festival in UK. It takes place on Sunday May 29th at Hearn St Car Park, Shoreditch, London. <itunes:summary>January in London is depressing. Big-time depressing. It gets light for 18 minutes a day, everyone’s broke and suicidal, there’s not even any decent telly on. No one even wants to brave the cold to head to their local disco and that's where they keep the booze and tunes. The Nextmen want to take away your lows with a little low-end boomp! And best of all you can enjoy this in your pants at home against the heat of your radiator, drinking wine from a box. Expect the hot hot heat of winter warmers from J Cole, Wretch 32, MJ Cole, Chase and Status, Breakage and Jess Mills, Congo Natty, Greenmoney, Floating Points and much, much more. Let's get through these dark days together. Spring is just round the corner my friend, let's bounce back from the brink!</itunes:summary>
