Now we’re going to consider if you are a son, if you are a daughter of God, that means you’re a part of the family of God. And that means that you have, things that you can expect to receive from one another now. You are all in this thing together. Like it or not, you’re a family. And it means that you actually have duties and obligations to one another as well. Pastor Jon Hastings talks about what those duties are and how it matters that as Christians we are part of the whole family of God.

Pastor Dan Rude walks through the creation of Adam and Eve, the fall of Adam and Eve, the clothing of Adam and Eve and how Adam points forward to Christ!

Dan is a pastor at Walnut Creek Church Downtown. Dan enjoys serving his family and the church, reading the Bible, sharing the gospel, and hanging out with his family and friends. The idea that we represent Christ to this world is a truth that helped Dan make sense of the Bible and the commands of God. After understanding God’s love for him, and that he can join the creator of all things in doing something that counts for eternity, his life has never been the same. Dan and his wife, Meg, have been happily married since 2007. The Lord has blessed them with five children: Quinn, Rex, Myla, Titan, and Jett.

David and Goliath, the age-old story that can become so familiar it gets stale, much like the gospel can for Christians. Pastor Darrin Miedema addresses how David and Goliath’s story points to how the gospel is unexpected, outrageous and the only hope. Pastor Darrin Miedema has been following Christ since the summer of 2003. As a sophomore at Drake University he became actively involved in Campus Fellowship there as well as at Walnut Creek Church. Darrin helped launch Walnut Creek’s Downtown location where he has served as a deacon, and led worship and Community Groups since 2007. Darrin and his wife McKenna have three children: Jackson, Eleanor, and Ruby. They serve at the Altoona location where Darrin is a teaching pastor.

America is one of the most individualistic cultures in the world. So in a culture that values independence so highly, where does community fit into decision making?
The sheer number of choices an individual faces in the current time can be the cause of much anxiety and stress but what does God have to say about decisions? To understand that, we must understand what Romans 12:1-2 is saying. Jacob unpacks this verse and what leads up to it and where to start in the decision-making process.

This was the first of six sessions that Jacob Van Sickle – Pastor of Sacred City Church in Providence Rhode Island gave at Winter Retreat 2021.

Winter Retreat is a college conference hosted by Campus Fellowship in the scenic Rocky Mountains of Estes Park Colorado with the intent to enjoy four days of biblical teaching, authentic worship, and Christian fellowship. Each year we come together to exercise the routine of rest as we get away and get with God.

Campus Fellowship was created for Christ, for His Church, for Campus, and for Culture. To learn more about Campus Fellowship, see our website here: https://campusfellowship.com/about/.
