Dwayne Johnson And Jason Momoa Reportedly Looking For Project Together

When you're an A-list star in Hollywood, it becomes easy to get your way. For example, in the last couple of weeks, fan witnessed Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista wish a buddy cop movie into existence with a mere text message and a tweet.

Bautista had the idea of collaborating with his Dune and See co-star, posted to Twitter (making it go viral), and shortly after, Momoa is getting asked about it in public; this has been enough for the pair to feel that it’s going to happen.

However, according to sources — the same ones who told us Ben Kingsley was returning as Trevor Slattery as Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings long before it was confirmed — that Momoa and Johnson may collaborate on an assumed action-packed effort, based on their filmographies.

Ironic, considering Bautista isn’t shy when it comes to slating his ex-WWE compatriot; though, Momoa did admit earlier this year he was going to work with Johnson. The two are long time friends and both in the DCEU, but the pieces haven’t quite fallen into place for a team-up.

While there’s no word on what the project could be, long-gestating biopic The King makes sense. Robert Zemeckis signed on to direct the story of Hawaii’s legendary ruler Kamehameha in 2018, and it’s a role Johnson has been desperate to play for his entire career. He and Momoa both have strong ties to the islands, making it the most logical option.
