Love him or hate him, Sandler will be remembered for generations for his wealth of contributions to the world of comedy. His extensive career in television and film stretches over more than 70 films and 24 television shows, many of which he additionally took part in as a writer and producer.

Sander’s memorable career helps define him in the public eye, but the 55-year-old has an entire private life that his fans know little about. The beloved actor has been married for nearly 20 years and enjoys a wonderful life with his modest family, including his wife.

Unlike many celebrities, Sandler didn’t tie the knot with a famous paramour. He avoided this Hollywood tendency in favor of marrying the star of his own world, Jacqueline “Jackie” Sandler. He and Jackie met on set of 1999’s Big Daddy, according to Parade, and Sandler quickly realized that she was the one.

Jackie and Sandler seem to share an enviable marriage. She is immensely supportive of his career, according to numerous interviews, often appearing on set to cheer him on from behind the camera.

She also gives him tips and critiques, often urging him to push his romantic scenes farther. In several hilarious interviews alongside his co-stars, Sandler admitted that his wife pushed him to “get in there” with co-star Drew Barrymore and joked about the time Jackie told him “Harder! Kiss her harder! Deeper,” during filming for he and Jennifer Aniston’s Murder Mystery

Sandler and Jackie appear, by all accounts, to have a wonderful relationship. She even pushed him to go out for Uncut Gems, a film that ultimately earned Sandler numerous awards and nominations.

“My badass wife, she gave me the balls to take the part,” Sandler said during a 2020 National Board of Review Gala, according to People. I was scared and she said, ‘Go f— do that’ and ‘you can do that s—’ and we rehearsed together all the time.”

Sandler and Jackie share two daughters, both of whom have appeared in several of his popular films.
