She believes that through the years of presenting her segments about individual women, has been a successful experience.

Hundreds of Assyrian women contact her to say they saw the interviews and they were inspired by them to do what those successful women has done.

They also say that we were concerned and hesitant to follow the steps of successful women, but the program has encouraged them to be brave and follow the path they believe will bring them success, Ms Shamalta says.

Also many young High Schools universities girls, who are not sure how to advance with their future, call Maryam and tell her, watching her program and learning from the experiences of her guests, helps them to pursuit there ambition to succeed in life.

Ms Shamalta says "it's like Domino Effect, The success of one woman will inspire another woman to follow suit and if she shares her success story, that in turn will encourage other women to learn from their experience and be successful as well."

Maryam Shamalta believes that the reason behind having so many follower to her program and particularly, Assyrian women, is because they see themself through the screen, she believes the screen reflects their personality, ambition, struggle and that makes them relate to the program.

Ms Shamalta says she regrets not seeing much of Assyrian influence in media. There should be hundreds of women involved in media, producing and presenting programs to empower the Assyrian women.

Another thing Ms Shamalta points out is that, through Shamiram Media, women see that, the Assyrian nation throughout the history, gave the civilisation many women like Queens, fighters, scientist and more, who contributed to the advance of humanity.

When asked about her views about domestic violence, Ms Shamalta says that she hasn't encountered a domestic violence personally or seen any, but she has been approached by many women who have experienced domestic violence whether it is Physical, mental or financial.

" I try to make them aware that it is not ok that women nowaday accept this kind of behaviour".

Domestic violence is not only in Assyrian community but it is everywhere, she says. The unfortunate thing is, Assyrian community particularly women, do not speak out about it.

The media personality says, women who experience domestic violence, never speak to their parents, friends and they hardly seek professional help. She says " I try through my program to make them aware that it is not ok that women nowaday accept this kind of behaviour".

Maryam agrees that the media should always a role in educating and spread the message of non tolerance towards domestic violence.
