Tom Brady assistant said to be job hunting — fueling retirement rumors

Tom Brady’s longtime assistant Ben Rawitz has been talking to other top quarterbacks about work — prompting even more speculation that the star athlete is going to retire.

Page Six has been told that Rawitz, who has spent years as Brady’s right-hand man, has reached out to a list of high-profile QBs, including the Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen, Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow, the Cardinals’ Kyler Murray and the Patriots’ Mac Jones, for management opportunities.

Rawitz, who has been with his boss since Brady was a Patriot and made the move with him to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, declined to comment.

Another insider confirmed that Rawitz had reached out to Burrow’s management but did not speak to the athlete directly.

The Bucs’ quest to “go for two,” as coach Bruce Arians dubbed it, fell short last weekend as they suffered a 30-27 defeat to the Los Angeles Rams — and leading many to wonder if it might have been Brady’s last NFL game.

Sources told Page Six they’re not sure in which direction he will go, but the 44-year-old this week admitted that he’s debating the matter and said that his wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, needs him.

He told Jim Gray on the “Let’s Go” podcast this week: “I said this a few years ago, it’s what relationships are all about. It’s not always what I want. It’s what we want as a family. And I’m gonna spend a lot of time with them and figure out in the future what’s next.

“It pains her to see me get hit out there. And she deserves what she needs from me as a husband, and my kids deserve what they need from me as a dad.”

As ESPN reported following the Buccaneers’ Super Bowl win last year, Bündchen whispered to Brady: “What more do you have to prove?”

The multi-millionaire superstar, who has sons Jack, 14, and Benjamin, 12, and daughter Vivian, 9, has also confessed to Howard Stern that the pair underwent marriage counseling after Bündchen told him she was unhappy.

Brady said he still keeps a letter she wrote to him in his drawer, holding him to his priorities. He also revealed how hard it is for the model to see him take hits.

Moving forward, Brady has got a global health and wellness brand in TB12, a multi-platform production company called 199 Productions, and now a Brady clothing brand.

Reps for Brady were unavailable for comment.
