A nine-year-old boy from Brazil took running away from home to a whole new sky-high level.

The boy managed to sneak on to a plane and travel about 1,700 miles before any employees on board noticed.

LADbible details how Emanuel Marques de Oliveira was first reported missing from his family’s home in Manaus, Brazil when his mom, Daniele, realized he wasn’t in bed.

“I woke up at 5:30 a.m., went to his room, and saw that he was sleeping normally,” details Daniele. “Then I fiddled with my mobile phone a little and got up again, at 7:30 a.m., and that is when I realized he was no longer in his bedroom and I started to panic.”

Indian Express reports that while Daniele and the rest of Emanuel’s family were thrown into a sheer panic, the boy had somehow managed to make it to the airport; get past security; and board a Latam Airlines flight on its way to the city of Guarulhos in the São Paulo region.

He was on the plane for about 2,700 kilometers—which converts to nearly 1,700 miles—before plane employees noticed something amiss. He was reunited with his family later that day.

The India Times answers the question that is undoubtedly on readers’ minds: How in tarnation did a little boy get past airport security and hang out on a plane completely unnoticed?

Apparently, all he did was Google it.

According to the same India Times article, investigators put onto the strange case of the little runaway discovered Emmanuel had searched “how to get on a plane unnoticed” on a computer and did just that.

Investigators also confirmed Emanuel didn’t run away due to a negative home environment, but just because he wanted to see some family that lived in São Paulo.
