'Rundown' Madonna 'ignored symptoms of illness' as she rehearsed for Celebration tour

Sources have claimed that Like A Virgin singer Madonna was pushing herself as she rehearsed for her upcoming world tour, which had been due to kick off this month

Madonna was “rundown” but ignored signs of illness to press on with rehearsals for her tour, it has been reported.

The Queen of Pop, 64, was admitted to the intensive care unit with a “serious bacterial infection” last month but is now thought to be recovering at home in the US.

She had been due to start her eagerly anticipated Celebration tour in July but after she fell ill her manager Guy Oseary said on Instagram that she would need to “pause” all of her commitments.

Another was quoted as saying that the Material Girl had been very busy and was “not taking care of herself”.
