Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) is now polling in double digits in the state of Iowa and is gaining ground on Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), according to a new poll.
The survey, released by Co/efficient on Friday and paid for by the Trump campaign, found Scott polling 10% in the battleground state while DeSantis came in second at 16%, the Hill reported. Meanwhile, 46% of likely GOP caucus participants in Iowa supported former President Donald Trump, who remains well ahead in the lead despite picking a fight with Gov. Kim Reynolds (R-IA) for remaining neutral in the 2024 GOP primary.

The Florida governor has struggled to make up ground on Trump and has attempted to reboot his campaign, hoping a new strategy will give it a much-needed shot in the arm.
The poll comes just under six months before the state’s caucuses, which are currently set for Jan. 15, 2024.
It also showed the other GOP candidates scoring single digits, with tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy at 5% and former South Carolina GOP Gov. Nikki Haley, former Vice President Mike Pence, and former New Jersey GOP Gov. Chris Christie all at 3%. Ten percent of likely caucus participants in Iowa were left undecided regarding the GOP lineup.
