MARY J. Blige has seemingly thrown a jab at Sean Combs after the rapper was accused of sexual assault and sex trafficking.

The Queen of R&B shared a quote on Instagram that seemed to be about Combs, aka Diddy, following the recent accusations against him.

Combs, 54, has worked with a slew of top-tier artists throughout his career, including Blige, 53, Notorious BIG, Usher, Lil Kim, Faith Evans, and 112.

Blige's first two studio albums, What's the 411? and My Life, were both largely produced by Combs, who was known at the time as Puff Daddy.

Despite a 30-year friendship, the Grammy-winning artist has now appeared to speak up against the Last Night rapper.

"Unfortunately, a lot of you all met me when I lacked boundaries and was a people pleaser," Blige wrote in her new post.

"Let me reintroduce myself, I burn bridges as needed," she said.

Followers immediately connected her words to Combs, with one suggesting that Blige was implying that “the Feds asked and I spoke… I’m not going down with you guys."

"They burned the bridges but this time you didn’t stop the fire," a second said.

"Watch everybody throw each other under the bus, when they all knew what was going on, but now they want to speak up?!" a third wrote.

"So how are you involved in this Diddy drama? We need the tea sis," a fourth asked.

"She said what she SAID," someone commented.

"Yesssssss! The people who don't respect boundaries shouldn't be a part of your life! Period," another added.

LAWSUITS AGAINST COMBS

Blige's post comes after Combs' ex-girlfriend Casandra Ventura, known professionally as Cassie, filed a lawsuit against the well-known artist.

In November 2023, Ventura accused him of sexually abusing and assaulting her throughout their decade-long relationship, which ended in 2018.

The singer claimed she endured “a cycle of abuse, violence, and sex trafficking."

Combs and Ventura settled the suit the day after it was filed, with the hip-hop mogul saying he "did not do any of the awful things being alleged."

Around the same time, another lawsuit accused Combs of gang-raping a 17-year-old girl in 2003.

Combs spoke out on Instagram, declaring, "Enough was enough."

"For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy," he said.

Combs denied all claims against him and said he was innocent - believing his accusers were seeking "a quick payday."

In February, a music producer filed another lawsuit alleging the Hello Good Morning rapper coerced him to solicit prostitutes and have sex with them.

Combs' attorney, Shawn Holley, responded to the accusations.

“We have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies."

Recent lawsuits against Diddy

Diddy was hit with a wave of lawsuits in late 2023 and early 2024 with allegations of sex trafficking and sexual assault. He has denied all claims against him.

  • Cassie, Diddy's longtime girlfriend, sued him in November 2023, claiming she endured “a cycle of abuse, violence, and sex trafficking” until their relationship ended in 2018. Diddy and Cassie settled the suit the day after it was filed.
  • Diddy was hit with two more lawsuits a week later. Joi Dickerson accused Diddy of drugging and raping her and filming the attack when she was a 19-year-old college student in January 1991.
  • A second accuser in a separate lawsuit claimed that Diddy and another man sexually assaulted her and a friend in 1990 or 1991 then showed up at her apartment and beat her several days later.
  • Diddy was sued again in December by a woman who claimed he and two men gang-raped her in 2003 when she was 17 years old.
  • In February 2024, Rodney 'Lil Rod' Jones, who helped produce Diddy's most recent album, claimed that the mogul sexually harassed, drugged, and threatened him from September 2022 to November 2023 as they worked together.

RAIDED BY FEDS

On Monday, federal agents raided Combs' homes in Los Angeles and Miami.

Combs' houses in Florida and California were searched as part of a federal investigation into sex trafficking allegations.

Without much information from Homeland Security, a video showed agents taking laptops and big boxes out of Combs' Miami Beach mansion.

One day later, footage obtained by TMZ showed his California property turned upside down in the raid.

At the time of the raids, sources told NBC News that four people were interviewed by Manhattan police over allegations of sexual assault, sex trafficking, and the solicitation and distribution of illegal narcotics and firearms.

Three others were also scheduled for interviews.

FIRST REMARKS

Combs' attorney, Aaron Dyer, condemned the "unprecedented" raids on Tuesday and said the rapper is innocent despite multiple allegations.

The lawyer labeled the searches an "overuse of military-level force" in his first remarks since the feds stormed the properties.

"Yesterday, there was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs' residence," Dyer said.

"There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated."

Aaron said Combs was never detained and was fully compliant with authorities.

He added that the rapper was free to travel after his private jet was seen in Antigua on Tuesday, confirming neither he nor any of his family members had been arrested.

"This unprecedented ambush - paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence - leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits," his attorney said.

"There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations.

"Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name."
