Brady began his 10-year, $375 million broadcast deal as the lead NFL game analyst for Fox.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion was given the task of analyzing the Cowboys-Browns game in which both teams made the playoffs last season.

Brady was impressed when Burkhardt introduced TV viewers to the NFL legend.

"We say welcome to the broadcast booth," Burkhardt said.

"He’s Tom Brady, and I’m Kevin Burkhardt.

"And you’re a broadcaster, how about that?"

Brady replied, "We're here. It’s been quite a journey, but I love being your partner."

Despite the contest not being close, the rookie broadcaster Brady revealed his enthusiasm during key moments while also providing analysis.

He also paused during instances to let viewers hear the crowd noise and knew when to balance out his dialogue with his colleague Burkhardt.

Still, some fans believe that Brady has room for improvement - and others think he will become one of the best broadcasters in the game in the future.

"He sounds pretty good, he probably just needs to feel a bit more comfortable in the role going forward, which I am sure he will do just that," one commented.

"He's done awesome, seems like a natural color commentator. Impressive!!" another wrote.

"Brady's appearances were really interesting and he sounded very natural like he’s been a commentator for years," a third stated.

"He did very well for his first outing, he must have been a bit nervous and it would be a bit emotional to be up there looking down at the field and players," a fourth added.

The Tom Brady domino effect

Tom Brady will take his seat in Fox's top NFL announce team alongside Kevin Burkhardt.

And his arrival at the network has set off a domino effect with every other announcer moving down one spot.

That means Fox's NFL coverage in 2024 will feature entirely new broadcast pairings.

Greg Olsen, who previously worked alongside Burkhardt, will now be part of the No. 2 announce team with Joe Davis.

The other Fox pairings for 2024 are:

  • Adam Amin-Mark Sanchez
  • Kenny Albert-Jon Vilma
  • Kevin Kugler-Daryl Johnston
  • Chris Myers-Mark Schlereth

Brady replaced former NFL tight end Greg Olsen, who was bumped to the No. 2 broadcasting team for Fox.

He was alongside Joe Davis as the two called the Pittsburgh Steelers' 18-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Just like his previous three years as an NFL analyst, Olsen received rave reviews for his performance on the broadcast.

Still, all eyes will be on Brady, who will be in the booth for Week 2.
