Man Trolls Steve Bannon at Post-Prison Presser: ‘When’s the Next Insurrection?’

Steve Bannon was released from federal prison on Tuesday and held a press conference in New York just hours later, where he fielded an unusual question.
The ex-adviser to former President Donald Trump was sentenced to four months in federal prison after being found guilty of contempt of Congress. Bannon refused to comply with a congressional subpoena issued by the House Jan. 6 Committee, which investigated the Capitol riot and Trump’s attempt to overturn the 2020 election. On Jan. 5, 2021, Bannon foreshadowed the chaos that was to come when he warned that “all hell will break loose tomorrow.”
A judge ordered him to report to the federal correctional facility in Danbury, Connecticut on July 1. He was released a week early.
Speaking on the Upper East Side, Bannon spoke and took questions. At one point, a man identified himself as “Robby Roadsteamer” and asked the convicted felon a question.
“Steve, Robby Roadsteamer here,” he said, as Bannon grinned awkwardly, perhaps sensing something was amiss. “I’m wondering, when’s the next insurrection? And can we storm the Burger King after this?”
The man then claimed he was in prison with Bannon.
“We were in Danbury the first month together,” he continued. “He looks great. You don’t remember me? We were lifting weights and stuff in the weight room. When’s the next insurrection? How we gonna do this and stuff, man?”
As he spoke, two men approach him to escort him away.
“I’m leaving,” the man said before saying one of the men “looks like Yoda with AIDS.”
“This place smells like mothballs,” he added.
Earlier in the day, Bannon returned to his show War Room, where he declared himself “a political prisoner.”
