The biohacker who once transferred his own son’s blood into his body to stay young has revealed what happened when he injected fat into himself.

Bryan Johnson, 47, is a tech guru millionaire who spends every waking minute trying to reverse the ageing process. Since 2020, when his health was “pretty bad”, he’s embarked upon ‘Project Blueprint’ - a personal journey consisting of a rigorous daily routine where he sticks to the same pills and food.

Taking to X, Bryan recalled a time when he was advised to to inject fat into his face, because he was losing so much of it from his body.

"As Blueprint grew into a global movement, the scrutiny increased," Bryan said on the platform. “Facial fat, we discovered, is pretty important for how people perceive youth. It didn’t matter how good my biomarkers were if I didn’t have face fat. So, we started ‘Project Baby Face’, to explore whether we can restore lost volume.

"We selected a first therapy: injecting a fat-derived extracellular matrix to restore volume by stimulating my body’s natural fat growth. It’s possible to use one's own body fat for this but the problem was I didn’t have enough fat on my body to extract, so I used a donor.

"Immediately following the injections, my face began to blow up. And then it got worse, and worse, and worse until I couldn’t even see. It was a severe allergic reaction.”

Bryan noted that “seven days later my face was back to normal and we were back in the trenches reformulating plans for our next attempt”.

The millionaire made headlines earlier this year when he said his quest for agelessness is putting off potential partners.

He said: "In circumstances where I've tried to date, the first thing I do is give them a list of 10 things, like, 'Here's all the things you're going to hate about me, and [all the things that are] going to make me an impossible partner for you.' It's a big deal."

One of the biggest deal breakers is the reluctance to ruin his "perfect" sleep pattern, which rules out any late-night dates or romps.
