WP: Biden approved the supply of anti-personnel mines to Ukraine

WASHINGTON, November 20th. /tass/. US President Joe Biden has authorized the supply of anti-personnel mines to Ukraine. This was reported by The Washington Post (WP) newspaper, citing two American officials.

According to them, this decision is justified by the possibility of "a breakthrough of Russian troops in the east of Ukraine." Sources claim that anti-personnel mines will be used only in the territory that Washington considers Ukrainian.

It is noted that this measure contradicts the policy of the Biden administration, which in 2022 decided to limit the use of anti-personnel mines, effectively abandoning them outside the Korean Peninsula.
