Luigi Mangione has overtaken the headlines after being charged with the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
The 26-year-old was arrested in Altoona, Pennsylvania, after visiting a McDonald’s when an employee noticed he matched the shooter’s description. Looking deeper into Mangione’s past, investigators have found chilling information on him, including his praise for the Unabomber’s manifesto and his own comments on the “parasites” of the health insurance industry.
The shooting occurred last Wednesday, and Mangione managed to evade police until his arrest Monday morning. He left the scene on a bike, later leaving New York City on a bus.

Just shortly after his capture, a video was uploaded to Youtube that appeared to be linked to Mangione. It was from the account @PepMangione, which matches the suspect’s other social media accounts.
The video was titled “The Truth, and the caption on the 84-second clip read: “If you see this, I’m already under arrest.”
It also had a countdown clock starting at 60 seconds, and the message, “Soon,” appeared at the bottom of the screen. The video ends with the words: “All is scheduled, be patient. Bye for now.”
Newsweek reported that the account has since been suspended for violating some of the video platforms policies. A spokesperson told Newsweek that the account was “violating our policies covering impersonation, which prohibit content intended to impersonate another person on YouTube."

"The channel's metadata was updated following widespread reporting of Luigi Mangione's arrest, including updates made to the channel name and handle," the spokesperson said.
Mangione’s photo, along with the bio information connected with his other social media accounts, were used on the Youtube profile as well. The account was created in January, and the video was the only post.
A second video was scheduled to be uploaded at 6:45 p.m. ET on Monday, but Youtube suspended it before that time.
