Trump campaign strategist Alex Bruesewitz collapsed mid-speech at the New York Young Republican Club Gala on Sunday, stunning attendees and prompting an outpouring of concern.
Bruesewitz, who heads the consultancy firm X Strategies and played a key role in President-elect Donald Trump’s 2024 race, was an honored guest at the event.
During his address, however, Bruesewitz began slurring his words before pausing. Moments later, he fell to his side as the crowd gasped, and frantic voices filled the room.
While the cause of the collapse remains unclear, other speakers assured attendees that Bruesewitz was receiving medical attention and was “responsive backstage.”
MAGA commentator Jack Posobiec offered updates on Bruesewitz’s condition on X and advised that the speaker was in good spirits afterward.
“All levels are normal,” Posobiec posted, adding with a touch of humor, “Only thing he asked me was, ‘Did it look cool?’”
Trump addressed the episode in a phone call to the gala later in the evening.
“I know that Alex is going to be fine because he’s a tough son of a gun. There’s no doubt about that,” Trump remarked. “I want to say hello to Alex because he’s a very special guy.”
