President Donald Trump launched into a brand-new, baseless rant about how diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) played a role in the tragic collision that killed 64 people on board an American Airlines flight and three soldiers. In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump attacked the pilot of a Black Hawk helicopter, which carried three soldiers now presumed dead.

In the post, Trump lambasted the pilot saying that they were flying too high. "The Blackhawk helicopter was flying too high, by a lot. It was far above the 200-foot limit," he said in the Friday post. "That’s not really too complicated to understand, is it?"

Trump doubled down on his comments in a second post with several screengrabs from The New York Post and lackey Elon Musk and two other tweets talking about the Federal Aviation Agency and DEI. "This is just one reason why our Country WAS going to hell," the 78-year-old man raged.

The comments about DEI being involved came after the 47th president stunned reporters during a press conference on Thursday where he hinted the pilots of the plane were not smart enough to be behind the controls. During his briefing, Trump read some headlines appearing to also blame a “diversity push” at FAA for the mid-air collision. “I do want to point out that various articles that appeared prior to my entering office,” he said.

“And here’s one: the FAA’s diversity push includes a focus on hiring people with severe intellectual and psychiatric disabilities. That is amazing," the man said. Trump also seemed to get particularly angry when attacking the "disaster" former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who he said has a "good line in bullshit."

It was also stated by Trump that only the "highest intellect and psychologically superior" people should be allowed to become air traffic controllers. During the conference, DEI was attacked multiple times by Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

"We want the brightest and the smartest air traffic controllers," he said seemingly insinuating that people of color are inferior when given the role. Trump pledged that an incident like the one Wednesday night "wouldn't happen again," under his administration.

Prior to the stunning briefing, Trump released a post on Truth Social once again pointing blame at someone. "The airplane was on a perfect and routine line of approach to the airport. The helicopter was going straight at the airplane while on final approach to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport near Washington, D.C for an extended period of time. It is a CLEAR NIGHT, the lights on the plane were blazing, why didn't the helicopter go up or down, or turn,” he said.

“Why didn't the control tower tell the helicopter what to do instead of asking if they saw the plane. This is a bad situation that looks like it should have been prevented. NOT GOOD!!!,” Trump added.

As a seeming result of the constant attacks on DEI, Robert Santos, who emphasized inclusivity and outreach to overlooked communities, has resigned as director of the U.S. Census Bureau. Reports from the Associated Press stated that Santos was only midway through his 5-year term.

Santos, who was appointed by former Democratic President Joe Biden, said in a letter Thursday evening that he had made the decision "after deep reflection." The resignation of the first Hispanic leader has officially cleared the path for Trump to reshape the agency's leadership.
