UK confirms further cases of avian influenza

The outbreak impacted captive birds

In a recent press release, the UK's Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) confirmed the presence of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in captive birds.

The outbreak took place near Colden Common, Winchester, Hampshire. A 3-km captive bird control zone is now in place.
