Ramblings

The sun finally emerges!

I was supposed to write you all a review for Astrid Parker Doesn’t Fail yesterday, but the day was so tiring I didn’t. Instead, I told myself I’d write it today. Then I woke up with a mild migraine and decided today is not the day either. So, you get a rambling post instead. Hahaha. At least I have been keeping up better with posts, and it’s feeling rather good to be honest.

Although we’re due for another rainstorm soon, this week has been blessedly sunny. Yesterday the temperature even got up into the low 70s, and I was like a plant standing outside just soaking it up. The sun coming out equally explains how I feel overall though. I’m moving into my new work position next week and I’ve finally been able to let go of a lot of the duties I was doing while in transition. It felt so nice! I feel so much more relaxed, and it’s such a lovely feeling. I can finally decompress.

I’m hoping this also means that my brain will have much more room for books again. I actually surpassed the amount of books I wanted to read this month by one! Which made me very happy. I’m still not holding myself too accountable, because reading should always be fun first and foremost. However my brain is much happier when I’m immersed in fictional worlds. And I need to honor that as well. Time to make more space for the hobbies that make me happy!

Okay that’s it! Just a quick check in! I’m starting to participate in blog tours again, so Monday will bring a feature post. You’ll still get my review of Astrid Parker Doesn’t Fail as well, and hopefully another one too. So look forward to that :). Until next time, big hugs! And happy reading!
