Bethesda are publishing a new Indiana Jones game

Here’s something that no one really expected. Bethesda Softworks have announced they’ll be publishing a new Indiana Jones game that’s being developed by MachineGames.

It’s been over 28 years since we last saw an Indie title, LucasArts released Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis during the height of point-and-click adventure titles in 1995. The beloved franchise has since remained dormant (in the video game space – we’re all trying to forget Crystal Skull still) and today’s announcement is such a tease it would be wise to not get hopes up of a release for quite some time.

With nothing more to offer than a slow pan and reveal the teaser video posted to Twitter is accompanied by the information that Todd Howard would be producing the title and it would be created in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games.

There are a million questions left to be answered, but one of the biggest is whether or not the game will be an Xbox exclusive, now that Bethesda has been purchased in full by Microsoft.
