The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone is here and it certainly isn’t cheap

Well all knew it was coming, but now it’s here. Samsung’s Premium Ultra lineup has its newest member; the very pricey Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Announced as a part of Samsung’s first “Unpacked” for the year the new Galaxy S21 Ultra is jam packed with everything you could possibly want in a smartphone today including:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 888
  • 5G (including both Sub 6 and mmWave frequencies)
  • 6.8-inch 3200 x 1440 OLED display (Adaptive up to 120Hz)
  • 12/16GB RAM
  • 5,000mAh battery
  • Up to 512GB storage
  • WiFi 6E, Dualband Bluetooth 5, NFC and GPS
  • S Pen support

The spec-sheet doesn’t stop there either. The new S21’s camera array is a beast that includes an incredible 108MP sensor, 12MP ultrawide and not one, but two telephoto lenses: a 10MP 3x zoom and a 10MP 10x zoom.

Fans of the Galaxy Note may want to “downsize” to the Ultra’s slightly smaller footprint, but will revel in the fact they can bring their stylus along for the ride now. The S21 Ultra doesn’t include one in the box to encourage new users however, you’ll need to cross their palms with a little more silver to earn that right.

Speaking silver, you may want to dip into your gold reserves to pay for this one. There are three models available to Australians with varying RAM & storage configurations.

  • 512GB/16GB RAM – A$2,149
  • 256GB/12GB RAM – A$1,949
  • 128GB/12GB RAM – A$1,849

All in all reviews are favourable for the new king of the Galaxy mountain, but reiterate just how costly it’s going to be to enjoy it.
